'GAA With a Twist' was our TY show for the year held on the 14th of December in the packed school hall. The show was wrote by Mr Coughlan. The show was full of acts which were based around the GAA. The theme came from Galway winning the All Ireland Hurling Final in September 2017 for the first time since 1988.
The acts included were extracts from 'Many Young Men of Twenty','Grease' and also lots of Irish singing and dancing.
My main parts in the show included playing 'Tom' in 'Many Young Men of Twenty', a stubborn Irish man who hopes to emigrate to England and also playing 'Rump' in 'Grease' and a member of the 'T-Birds.' I had never been on stage before in a crowd so I was a bit nervous on the night but I enjoyed the experience overall and felt more confident as the show progressed. A lot of work also had to be put into the outfits, singing, dancing and learning lines.

Overall, I really enjoyed the whole experience. The preparation and practising was always great fun as everything was new to me as I had never done anything like this before. At the start of the project, we thought the show would be awful but it turned out okay on the night. I was delighted when the show finished but I'm very happy that I did it.
