On Monday the 18th of December, we went to An Gairdín for an up-cycling, chalk paint workshop from two people, Gerry and Laura. I absolutely hate art so I was not looking forward to the workshop. However, I went along anyway to see if they could change my mind.
We were given a 'scrap' timber board to paint on, dividing it into 3 different segments, to paint in different ways. Each segment was given a different texture, colour and design to try up-cycle and renew the piece. We then had to dry the wax with hairdryers.

Overall, I didn't enjoy the workshop at all. I had no interest in doing the work and was terrible at it. However, it was nice to get a break from class and try something new.
